While this was one of the key problems we encountered with the greatest frequency, we were a little surprised that it wasn’t a critical factor for almost all organizations.  In approximately 1/2 of the surveys we analyzed we found pay to be a key problem in need of improvement.

Sometimes the issue is more a lack of a strong relationship between pay and performance.  Other times employees complain about miniscule pay raises year after year.  The survey questions, both quantitative and qualitative, will point you in the right direction when it comes to solving this problem.
