The Jealous Boss

I recently took a job as a secretary for a mid-level manager in my company. The job started out okay, but within a few weeks I realized that there was not much to do. I went to him and asked him for more work, but I was able to finish whatever he gave me very quickly. I've gone out of my way to organize all his files. After I ran out of work for him, I asked others in his department if I could assist them. When he found out he became jealous and angry. He says that I work for him, and nobody else.

He frequently goes on business trips, and I am left with nothing to do while he is gone. He doesn't call in. I don't know what to do, because I've only been here a few months, and I don't think it would look good for me to leave a new position so soon.
